Goiburu Golf Club

Goiburu Golf Club is a nine-hole club in Andoain, in the province of Gipuzkoa in Spain’s Basque Country. Its course is set in the Leitzaran valley. For golfers exploring this part of Spain, those are the key geographical references: Andoain is the municipality, and Leitzaran is the valley where the course is located.

The club’s offering extends beyond the course itself. A golf school, tournaments, a clubhouse and a restaurant make up the other elements of Goiburu, bringing learning, competition and the club’s social facilities alongside its nine holes.

The nine-hole course

The course at Goiburu Golf Club has nine holes. Its valley location and nine-hole format are the starting points for understanding the club and placing it within a golf visit to Gipuzkoa.

For a travelling golfer, Goiburu is therefore a nine-hole option in Andoain rather than simply a name on a wider Basque Country itinerary. The course is part of a club whose activities also include teaching and tournaments, with a clubhouse and restaurant completing the facilities.

Golf school and tournaments

Goiburu has a golf school, giving teaching a place within the club’s activities alongside play on the course. Golfers interested in the learning side of the game will find that the school is part of Goiburu’s offering, rather than the course being its only focus.

The club also holds tournaments. These provide the competitive element of its golf activity, complementing both the nine-hole course and the school. Together, the course, teaching and tournaments describe the golfing side of Goiburu.

Clubhouse and restaurant

A clubhouse and restaurant are also part of the club. For anyone considering Goiburu as part of a visit to the area, these are worth noting alongside the golf facilities: the offering includes somewhere to eat as well as the course and its associated activities.

Where Goiburu fits into a visit

Andoain, Gipuzkoa and the Leitzaran valley are the place names to keep in mind when locating Goiburu. Its combination is straightforward: a nine-hole course in the Basque Country, supported by a golf school and tournaments, with a clubhouse and restaurant rounding out what the club offers.
