Who is behind Costa y Golf, where the details on each course page come from and how far you can rely on them.
Site owner
As required by article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), these are the details of the owner of Costa y Golf:
The owner's details are missing
This Costa y Golf installation has no owner details (the [legal] section of cyg.toml). Without them this text is incomplete, and the site cannot open to the public.
What Costa y Golf is
Costa y Golf is a free guide to the golf courses of Spain, in English and Spanish. It does not sell or book anything: it is not a golf club and does not act on behalf of any club.
The details and the text of each course page are prepared from the information the clubs publish on their own websites. Our crawler reads those sites following their rules, artificial intelligence tools help to sort out the details and to suggest a text, and a member of our team reviews everything before it is published. The text we publish is our own: we never copy the text of a club's website.
Photos are only published if they are ours, if their author or the club has given us permission or if their licence allows it, and always with their credit.
Accuracy of the information
We take care to keep the details accurate and up to date, but they come from public sources that change without notice. Green fees and other prices, opening times, seasons, facilities and contact details are for guidance only, and distances and driving times are approximate. Always check them with the club before you travel, book or pay.
Costa y Golf is not liable for any loss arising from incomplete, out-of-date or wrong information, from decisions taken on the basis of it, or from the site being unavailable at any time, except where the law does not allow that liability to be excluded.
If you spot a mistake, or you run a club and would like us to correct or complete its page, write to us and we will look into it.
Intellectual and industrial property
Our own text, the design, the logo, the illustrations and the code of Costa y Golf belong to the owner or are used under licence. They may not be copied, distributed or adapted without permission, except for the uses the law allows, such as quotation with the source acknowledged.
Each photo belongs to its author, named in its credit, and is published under its licence or with permission. Videos from other platforms belong to whoever published them there. The names, trade marks and logos of the clubs and courses belong to their owners and are only used here to identify them.
If you believe something published here infringes your rights, write to us and we will look into it without delay.
Links to other websites
Course pages link to the clubs' websites and to other services you may find useful, such as maps to reach the course, and the share buttons open the social network or app you choose. Those websites are not ours: we are not responsible for their content, their availability or what they do with your data. If one of them links to something unlawful and you let us know, we will remove the link.
The share buttons are plain links: they load nothing from those networks on our pages until you press them.
Personal data
The privacy policy explains what personal data we process, which cookies we use and how to exercise your rights.
Governing law
This legal notice and the use of the site are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts that have jurisdiction under the law; if you are a consumer, those of the place where you live.
